Biševo is a Croatian island in the Adria. It is situated 3 nautical miles in the southwest of the island Vis.On Biševo is the cultivation of wine operated. The many caves of the island lying far on the open ocean are very interesting.


Brač is with its 396 sq.km the third biggest and with the Vidova Gora (also Monte Sveti Vid) and its 778 m the highest island in the Adria. It belongs to Croatia and is situated in front of the coast of middle Dalmatia, close of the port Split.


Čiovo is a Croatian island in the Adria in front of the coast of middle Dalmatia, in the west of Split, at the western exit of the bay of Kaštela. The island is approximately 15,3 km long and up to 3,5 km wide. The highest rising of the island is Rudine with a height of 220 meters. In the northwest, the island is connected by a bridge with the town centre of the city Trogir.


Goli Otok (Croatian: naked island) is a Croatian Adria island between the island Rab and the mainland, it belongs to the district Primorje Gorski kotar. [Ferienwohnungen Insel Rügen] It extends over a surface of 4,7 square kilometers. From 1949 to 1988 here were a Yugoslav high safety prison, at first for political prisoners and was later also for criminal ones and juvenile offenders.


The island Ilovik is an island of the Adria. Ilovik is a gently hilly island, the highest point is appropriate for 91m over the sea, the surface amounts to 5,8 sq.km. The length of the coast amounts to approximately 15 km.

The island Lošinj is a Croatian island in the Adria. It is situated in the Kvarner Bay and is about 75 square kilometers large. The archipelago (Cres - Lošinj) was called in the antique Apsyrtides. The two islands are separated by an artificially created channel (with swing bridge) near the locality Osor, lain on Cres.


The islands Male and Vele Srakane are two small, but inhabited islands of the Adria. Both islands are coined of a gently hilly character, the surface of the larger of the two islands (Vele Srakane) amounts to 1,2 sq.km, the smaller has less than 1 sq.km.

The island Mljet is situated in about 30 km in front of the coast of south Dalmatia, in the northwest of Dubrovnik,in Croatia. The island has a surface of approximately 100 sq.km. With a forest portion of 90 per cent it is one of the most wooded islands in the Mediterranean Sea.


Molat is an island in Croatia. The locality Molat is situated increased on the island, it gives there some business and also a fish restaurant.

Palagruža (ital.: Pelagosa) is an uninhabited small archipelago, that belongs to Croatia, in the middle of the Adria. The main island of the same name is 1400 m long and 300 m wide and has a mediterrane vegetation. The islands are a nature reservation with many native plants and animals.


Pašman is an island in the Adria in front the coast of north Dalmatia. It belongs to the Croatian district Zadar and has a surface of approximately 57 sq.km and 3.500 inhabitants. Inhabited the island mainly on the northeast side, where it is separated from the mainland by the narrow Pašmanski channel. The southeast side of the island is steeply and strongly fissured.


Premuda is a Croatian island in the archipelago of the north dalmatian islands, which are pre-aged to the Croatian port Zadar. The island has 50 inhabitants in the winter time. The inhabitants are occupied with sheep breed, wine and cultivation of olive as well as lately increasingly with the tourism.


Rab (italian Arbe) is a Croatian island in the Adria. Rab is the twin city of the German city Königsbrunn (approx. 27.000 inhabitants), situated in the south of Augsburg. While the time of the Italian fascism was by Italy on the island a concentration camp operated.


Rivanj is a Croatian island in the archipelago in front of Zadar, between the islands Sestrunj and Ugljan. The island has a surface of 4,4 sq.km and 20 inhabitants. Highest summit is the Lukočina with 112 meter. The only locality is Rivanj inside of the island.


Šipan is the largest island in the Elaphite archipelago, situated in the northwest of Dubrovnik in Croatia. The most important places are Šipanska Luka and Sudjuradj.


Šolta is a Croatian island in the Adria, situated in the west of Brač. The island is 19 km long and up to 5 km wide.ruegener baedervillen The highest summit is Vela Straža with a height of 237 meters. The Maslinica bay in the west of the island is a port for smaller ships.


The island Susak is a Croatian island in the Adria. Susak is a gently hilly island, the surface amounts to 3,7 square kilometers. The expansion of the island amounts to maximally 3 km x 1,5 km. The highest point of the island is the 96 m high Garba, on which a lighthouse stands.


The island Ugljan is situated parallel to the mainland coast of Croatia and all settlements are along the northeast bank. The southwest coast is rather steep and inaccessible. Ugljan is one of the most closely settled islands of Croatia.


Unije is an island in the Adria. In the east of the island are some deeply cut bays, the largest are the bay Maracol, a popular approach place for sailors. The island is free of traffic and is reachable with ferries from Rijeka and Mali Lošinj.


Vir is a Croatian Adria island on the height of Zadar. A bridge connects it with that to approximately 25 km removed Dalmatian coast. Vir is of that approximately 300 islands of the Zadar archipelago. At 31,34 sq.km surface, 10,12 km length and 4,25 km maximum width is it the twenty-largest island of Croatia.


Vis is a Croatian island in the Adria. It is 90.3 sq.km largely (length 17 km, width to 8 km). Together with its smaller island beside Biševo it is the furthest island in front of the Croatian coast, removed from the coast, with Split.
